DESHAIES: BETWEEN MOUNTAIN AND SEA
| The villa "Couleur Soleil" (near the center of the map) sits at the junction of two small rivers in the village of Ferry in the municipality of Deshaies. Three beaches are within walking distance.

| Downtown Deshaies (Le Bourg) is 6 km to the north and downtown Pointe-Noire is 6 km to the south. From the villa just follow the river upstream and in a few minutes you will be in the tropical forest on the edge of the Guadeloupe National Park. |

Deshaies is situated toward the north on the leeward coast of Basse-Terre. Thus it tends to get less rain. Lots of beaches and excellent diving spots. Count about 50 minutes to the airport. Our road sytem is good but winding.
